This site holds almost nothing about you. There is one form, and this page says exactly what happens to what you put in it.

Who is responsible

AssessQu is a DeployQuantum company, operated from Athens, Greece. DeployQuantum is the controller of the information described here. To reach a person about anything on this page, write to [email protected].

Cookies and analytics, and your choice

The first time you arrive, we ask one question: may we count page views and see which pages work. Until you answer, and if you answer no, nothing on this site loads from anyone else's server. No analytics, no tracking pixels, no advertising tags, no fonts or scripts fetched from a third party. There is nothing in your browser storage except, once you have answered, a note of your answer.

If you say yes, two services load:

PostHog, hosted in the EU. Page views, clicks, scroll depth, form submissions and session recordings. Every form input is masked in recordings, so what you type is never captured. No data leaves the EU.

Google Analytics 4, for aggregate traffic and where visitors came from, with IP anonymisation on. Advertising features and advertising cookies are switched off, and Google Consent Mode is set to deny advertising storage whatever you choose.

If you say no, neither loads and no analytics storage is set. You can change your mind at any time: reopen the choice. Withdrawing is exactly as easy as granting, which is the point.

All of that is checkable rather than a promise. Open your browser's developer tools, decline, and watch the network panel stay empty of anyone else's domain.

The one form

If you use the form on the talk page, we receive the five things it asks for: your name, your work email, the kind of institution you picked, what is prompting you to get in touch, and anything you chose to write in the optional box.

Stored with it: the two-letter country your request arrived from and the browser identifier your browser sends with every request it makes. Your IP address is used only to rate-limit the form so it cannot be flooded, is held for that alone for up to one hour, and is never written onto your message.

The basis for holding it is our legitimate interest in answering people who write to us. Nobody is added to a list, because there is no list. There is no mailing list, no marketing automation, and no profile built from what you send.

Where it is stored, and for how long

Messages are stored in a key-value store operated by Cloudflare, our hosting provider, acting as a processor on our behalf. The form posts to an endpoint on our own hosting and passes through no third-party form service.

We keep a message while the conversation it belongs to is live, and review what is held at least once a year. If a conversation goes nowhere, the message is deleted at that review. Ask us to delete it sooner and we do, and confirm.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you can ask what we hold about you, ask for a copy, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, and object to our holding it at all. Write to [email protected] and a person handles it. There is no charge and we do not ask you to justify the request.

If you think we have handled your information badly, you can complain to your national data protection authority. In Greece that is the Hellenic Data Protection Authority.

Hosting and logs

This site is served by Cloudflare. Like any hosting provider it keeps short-lived request logs for security and reliability, which is the network operating normally rather than something we collect or read for our own purposes.

Changes

If this page changes in a way that affects what we hold or what we do with it, the date at the top changes with it.
